This is the right route for those who don't feel like overdoing it.
The route is 55 km long with a maximum elevation of 900m.
The route starts in Menfi famous for its vineyards, then descends towards the sea along a cycle path built on the old railway line that connected Castelvetrano to Agrigento.
The itinerary includes a picturesque beach called “Giache bianchi” after which a climb begins leading to a view over the Arancio lake. The route then enters the enchanting village of Sambuca, where a refreshment point will be set up.
After visiting seven Saracen alleyways in the the historic centre the route continues around the lake (MacAdam suggestion #1). Finally all that is left is to tackle is the last uphill section before it's all downhill towards Menfi and the final refreshment point.
